Fuel rail issue and build delay

Just found out from my dealer that my car, midnight blue metallic, 20", base MT with sport chrono, PASM, LED HLs, all leather is delayed until July due to a fuel rail issue. I ordered the car mid-December. Anyone else here of this delay?

I had read that there is a recall underway for some screws that might come loose and allow fuel to spray onto a hot engine block. This is for a series of 718s and 991's that were built last year. Don't know if your car is involved, but I am surprised because your car is a later build.

My GT silver Boxster S MT was ordered after yours and is already on the ship headed to Port of Davisville.

2017 PORSCHE 718 BOXSTER RECALL - #17V054000

Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain 2017 911 Carrera, 911 Carrera S, 911 Carrera 4, 911 Carrera 4S, 911 Targa 4, 911 Targa 4S + GTS, 911 Carrera Cabriolet, 911 Carrera S Cabriolet, 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet, 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet, 718 Boxster, 718 Boxster S, 718 Cayman, and 718 Cayman S vehicles. The screws that fasten the fuel collection pipes in the engine compartment may shear off, resulting in a fuel leak.

I guess it's better to have a fixed from factory 718 rather than have it and then take it back for the recall?
