Me. Most of us are at least reasonably educated, you know ...

(To be fair: I was a journalist/editor for more than two decades.)

Apparently a problem with a bracket in the frunk which apparently can affect the fuel tank in the event of an impact. Affecting builds from March 2018 to February 2019.

Alot of rumors at the moment but looks like a serious issue to put a total stop to all deliveries/sales.
I've waited a while before checking my VIN against the recall database. My Dec '18 build CGTS seems unaffected. Is this a LHD only issue?

My (new) 718 has been sitting at dealer for the past ~3 weeks. Got a call yesterday that the fix has been completed and ready to schedule delivery.

After waiting since feb 16 2019
I called salesman again he said he got.a part but put on other car already mine is next so I ask him to find out exactly date he said he will call me back
4 hours later sale manager call me and told me
Porsche give the part by vin number
And now they drop stop sale to just recall
So he will contact me again tomorrow for set up delivery date and I have to take car back when part come

I started a separate thread two days ago, having just joined the Forum.
A gentleman from Australia pointed out then there is already a solution :

https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/201...9V113-3383.pdf

My car sale is on hold at my Nashville TN dealer, and there are expecting the shipment of the bracket needed any day now.

I just find it interesting that all these dealers become aware of the issue at very diffferent times, and seem to convey so little of it.
Oh well.
Will have to wait..

My CPO purchase (2017 BS - 1,079 miles) has been delayed for ~2 weeks. The SA stated they just learned of the issue and ordered the part, which was received 2 days ago. However, they are now waiting on a special tool (large set of pliers?), which "should" arrive tomorrow or next week. I was told my BS was second in line for remediation behind a "new car" sale. No worries as mine must be shipped ~1100 miles. Thus, while anxious (internet purchase), it probably won't kill me...unless it drags out much longer.

After 5 weeks of detention, my Cayman Base MT is ready for delivery on Saturday. Yes, it will snow that day, but the winter wheels and tires are on. I'm ready for a riveting experience.
