thanks! I didn't want to leave the pipe completely disconnected without getting confirmation first. Will give that a go.

I think that with the cut out it is not as brutal as with 1mm opening.
So try with a small opening and if that sounds Ok do the cut out
Thats what i will do when i get my car back from the workshop.

Also try to move the sleeve all the way to the side,
dragonsdreams likes this.

For the fun of it.....

But it is much easier then that, there is a pipe connecting the two mufflers right infront of the exhaust tips.
If you move the clamp and create a gap thats 2-5mm your gonna transform the exhaust note - last pic is from my own car when i was testing it
Also you can mod the PSE valve so its Always open.

If you like it then you can like this so the clamp is still in use.
And by sliding it you can change the note or Close it so its back to stock.

How were you able to get the pipe separated? I've loosened the nut but I can't budge the sleeve off the pipe.

Okay, finally did this. Left it open about 5mm... I’m in 😍😍😍! Wish the car came from the factory like this... It sounds so good now! Much deeper!

Granted my other car is a c7 Vette with a full corsa extreme on it, so I like loud! Thanks for posting this easy mod! Saved me $2k!

Me too. Love it! No reason to get a catback, for me anyway, after doing this.

I’m going PSE after being inside a 2019 with PSE. Going to install myself too. Just need the dealer to program it.

The thing is that if you disconnect the sound aktor your gonna hear that the PSE is lame compared to 981.
Inside the car i can barely hear when its on.
But if you do remove the sleeve a little bit the exhaust gets a bit more growl to it, but still the PSE does not add much.

It is logic in a sense, 981 got two seperate mufflers, 718 only have one even if it looks as two.

For the fun of it.....
