Sounds useful - not heard of it, How would I know if I have it or not thanks

Today, which is actually yesterday by now, I took the car to the dealer for its first oil change and the rivet-recall installation. I also asked about the steering wheel. The thread stitching on the cover has broken in one spot and will seemingly continue to come undone little by little. Rather than simply spot-glue it down they took pics and sent them off to Porsche. They gave me a Macan to drive. Since the work wasn't finished yesterday and as I will be riding a bicycle to work today, they are going to deliver the car to my driveway and pick up the Macan.

Jim, on my second Porsche. The first was a 912 in a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

Today I again demonstrated how incredibly big and useful the front trunk is. I ordered a folding relatively light weight wheel chair for a fully disabled family member. It fit in the front trunk, folded, but fully assembled. I bought it specifically to put in the front trunk but was not optimistic it would fit. I was wrong, it does comfortable fit in it.

I took my 718 Cayman S to the dealer in Bellevue for the fuel tank bracket rivets Recall, ~100 mi each way. I saw one invoice with $278 IIRC which is the amount billed to Porsche NA; no charge to me of course. Would have been a nice drive over the mountains (and the mountains part was fine) but the traffic in the Seattle-Tacoma area is seriously terrible and I'm glad I don't live over there any more!

2017 Cayman S, graphite blue, PDK, 20"; first Porsche, third mid-engine after V8 Corvair and Toyota MR2, fourth turbo after Corvair Corsa and two SAABs.

I got my Cayman back from the dealer. The reecall and oil change went great. Good to have her back home.

It's rained nearly nonstop here for 8 days (California! In May!!) Worst of it is, both my 718s have been parked outside the whole time, since our garage was being painted (walls, plus a new epoxy coating on the floor). Both cars looked absolutely terrible.

But the rain stopped and the paint inside the garage finally dried, so I washed and detailed *both* cars. Washed with CarPro Reset shampoo, did a ceramic coating 'reset' with Modesta M4, then topped up with Modesta M2, and did the full detail (interior, leather, tires, wheels, etc.)

Took six hours but I feel much better now that they are shiny clean and tucked away in the garage 🙂

That's a good question... Do you have your original build sheet? It'll show on there as an option. If you have it, you'll notice that at very low speeds, like maneuvering in a car park (sorry, 'manouevering' &#x1f642, the steering is very light. Without it, the steering definitely feels heavier at very low speeds...

Yes, I was not expecting much but it is certainly better, quite noticeable above 55/60.

I ‘think’ it’s “more better” when passengers window is shut and drivers wide open at speed.

Anyone else notice that?
