Hi. I'm new to the forum and this is my first post.

I’m looking for a set of aftermarket wheels for my 2017 718 Cayman S. The OEM wheels are 8J x 19 (ET 57) front and 10J x 19 (ET 45) rear. My goal is to match the OEM sizing. Has anyone here bought 19 inch aftermarket wheels for their 718 Cayman S (or Boxster S)? If so, what are the specs for them and have you had any clearance/handling/tire-wear issues? I’ve been looking for a while and am not having much luck matching or coming close to the OEM specs. Just looking for someone with knowledge/experience with wheel buying for this car.

First: welcome to the forum!

Some forum members have fit aftermarket wheels; Do your best to browse the threads in this subforum for info. That said, there are not many manufacturers who make aftermarket wheels that fit Porsches -- certainly nowhere near as many as for, say, a Honda, or even a BMW.

Your best starting point, in addition to this forum, is to research aftermarket wheels for the previous-generation 981 Boxster/Cayman. There will be a far larger database for that, even though the OEM fitment is almost exactly the same, the only difference being a half-inch-larger width (but the same exact offset) on the rear of the 718 -- 10 inches, vs. 9.5 for the 981.

I was looking for OEM offset 19" wheels earlier this year, ended up getting HRE RC104s 8.5x19 ET57 fronts and 10x19 ET45 rears. Haven't put them on the car yet, but don't expect any issues. Forgeline will also make any offset you want.

Viffermike, I sent you a private message regarding an old thread you started about aftermarket wheelfitment. I failed to notice/remember your post above before I sent the message. My apologies.

No worries, Jim. I think you've likely found a set that will work. Let us know how they work out for you!
