Hey all, been searching through all the forums about if a 19x11 wheel will fit the 718 Cayman. Couldn't find a straight answer, so I decided to try it myself since I had a set in my basement. So the wheels are for a 991.1 911CS, in the specs of 19x11 +63. I first tried a 10mm spacer, but the inner barrel of the wheel hits the track rod arm. I then used a 15mm, and BINGO! Effective offset of +48mm

The outside sticks out 10mm compared to the 19x10 +45, so realistically, it fits like a 19x10 +35 wheel. Now on the inner side is where the magic happens. Tire and strut clearance have 5mm, which is plenty enough, and about 4mm for the track rod and inner barrel.

Of course I did take pictures and mind you, the tires on it right now is the wrong size (305/30-19), the new size would be either 295/35-19 (5.5mm smaller in diameter) or 305/35-19 (1.5mm bigger in diameter).
I have about -2.0* of camber in the rear.

EDIT* I realized i put this in brakes and suspension, if an admin can move this back to Wheels and Tires, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Great work here, so this comes close (as expected) to what is being used on the 718 Spyder and GT4: 11Jx20 ET50 with a 295/30-ZR20 tire.

BC Forged Wheels

Front 20x8.5 et47 with 235/35 tires

Rear 20x11 et45 with 295/30 tires

Please keep in mind it's not all about offset, design of the wheel is very important.

Something to lookout for is the thickness of the wheel design near the front caliper. Some wheels are curved and some are just flat. If it's too thick it may hit the caliper even if you have the correct offset

I went direct to the company (Florida) to get the car sized up correctly, these are the final numbers for the wheels I picked. Then I had to wait 5 weeks for them, man it felt like forever lol

Very true about the offset and spoke design for clearance, something I am struggling with. Fitment must be confirmed beyond the published numbers.

I am looking for 20" wheels to clear PCCB brakes on a 718 Spyder, stock up front is 8.5JX20 ET61, out back is 11JX20 ET50. FWIW, this is the same as the 981 GT4.

OZ Super Leggera has a set that works, but the style doesn't thrill me, the Brixton Radial Forged RF7 looks nice, but I need to call about offset/fitment. The holy grail might be a real clean 5 sooke like the CEC c884... They all come in around $2300 US (tires, tpms extra)

I like the new GT wheel on the 718 but need a second set for non-summer driving and OEM Porsche wheel prices are stupid money. $4650 US wheels only!

I’ve got some 19x11 et 50 oz ultralegeras that will be here with 305/30/19 tires that will be here next week for my GTS. Will report back clearance. May have to add a tiny spacer for clearance like 3-5mm. We will see

Ok, I confirmed for myself. 19x11 +50 oz superleggera hits on the toe link a TINY bit. 5mm spacer gives it 3-4mm off clearance. I will probably order 7mm spacer for good measure. 305mm width tire is no problem.

What size are you using in the front? Is there any weight savings with this rim over OEM? Post pictures please
the fronts are 19x8.5 with 235s on them.I got them from a guy who was using them on his 997 turbo I believe.
they may be a touch lighter than oem. I’ll weigh them both next time

I’ll take a pic next time I put them on. They are toyo r888 tires.

i’ll likely replace with 245/295 toyo r888r’s when it’s time to replace them. But they’ll do for now
