You basically have three options:
- increase the profile ratio to put more space between your rim and the road
- upgrade to stronger wheels -- forged being the ideal
- buy tires known for stronger sidewalls (Michelin is a reliable option in this regard)

Sorry to tell you this, but any car on 35- or 40-series rubber is going to run a higher risk of bent rims than one on, say, 50-series rubber. It's just physics.

Furthermore, I'm assuming you're running OEM 20-inch rims. Almost all Porsche OEM wheels are manufactured by BBS -- generally regarded as one of the top wheel manufacturers in the world -- and Porsche OEM rims are not know for being structurally weak in the same way that, say, BMW's wheels are.

mine came with Pirelli p zero's and I am almost certainly going to swap to Michelin pilot sport 4s when I have taken a chunk of life out of the pirelli's

Pretty much what @Viffermike said. I can’t wait to swap my Yokos for Michelins. Also, this is why I spurned conventional wisdom and stuck with the 19” wheels on my CS.

Same here - I went with 19 inch wheel on my CS because it gave me the taller side wall and less chance of getting a bent wheel (plus lower tire replacement prices, and I just like the look better compared to the 20 inch wheel).

And like you I'll be changing to Michelins as soon as my Yokohamas are dead.

Thanks for the info, right now I'm still on stock PZero 235/35/20 front, 265/35/20 rear, thinking to switch to Michelin pilot super sport or ps4 with 40 profile series tires, I know the speedometer will be off a little, not sure if it will have any rubbing issue, anyone have 40 profile tires on 20" rim?

FYI, the Michelin’s ps4S is not available in the 235/40/20 and the 265/40/20 is not N0 rated. So the 40 profile idea is not an option if you want ps 4S.

I have the exact same problem as you and the only other alternative I see short of changing wheels is to switch from Pirellis to Michelin’s in the same oem sizes which are XL load and N0 rated or go to the same Michelin’s ps4S but with a higher sidewall, using 245/35/20(f) & 275/35/20 (r) but these sizes are no available with the Porsche N0 rating.

I did a similar thread to yours in this section, with a little more information hoping to get some answers.
