Has anyone in our world done a stand alone Cat Mod and seen a measurable difference ? I see vendor reference of 3 - 6 hp I don’t think it would be noticeable other than maybe some sound enhancements. Thinking maybe some throttle response that could feel like horsepower in everyday driving. Thinking of doing this on a base model vs a tune. I can reverse the install for warranty. Please chime in

You'll notice more turbo sound without too much "boxer rumble". Throttle response will be increased, as will power slightly. The high gains we've seen on the dyno are peak power gains of 14 whp and 24 ft-lbs of torque. All in all it won't be as impressive as the tune power-wise, but as far as hardware goes it's your best mod. If and when you do decide to get a tune, the higher flowing cat will be more beneficial then as well. If you have any questions or need forum pricing on our Sport Cat Downpipe, let me know!

I did the full Fabspeed catted exhaust and BMC air filter and can feel the difference at the higher rpms, no eng light.

Tune will come in the near future

Mike, been just doing a lot of reading here in the forums but do you have any input on keeping the PSE in place and just swapping in your catless or catted pipe? have you gotten any feedback on both setups? can a Vibrant o2 spacer help prevent CEL with your catless dp? appreciate any feed back...thanks!

Changing the downpipe is the primary exhaust change most of my customers do. Some people are not willing to modify an emissions device (or can't - California residents) and do the rear. O2 spacers won't prevent a check engine light on these cars and we highly recommend a tune as some customers have experienced boost spiking with a catless downpipe and no tune. Our Sport Cat Downpipe is our top 718 seller as it's bolt in enjoyment without a CEL.

If you've had a B18 turbo Integra, you'd like enjoy the experience of the catless downpipe and ECU tune as it's a very mean and fun setup - if you're OK with the ramifications of a catless device. Volume level is great, very little if any drone which I thought was surprising.

Sport Cat Downpipe is more civil and you could almost be convinced it was OEM. There is no drone and the volume increase is very mild. You'll be able to hear the turbo more clearly.

app 1450 Dollars...
I checked out the Evo site. I appreciate the link, but I can’t find anything for US distribution. After looking at their site, I would be interested in their headers for our turbocharged 718’s and and their hi-flo (200 cell) downpipe.

I have been looking at some various pre-owned exhaust units, new Soul units, new Fabspeed units, and also poking around at AWE and APR.

Nobody (at least stateside) seems to making headers for the 2.0 or 2.5L engines. Please correct me if I’m wrong or if you found something in the US.

Also, ordering from a tuner based company out of Europe could be a logistical nightmare. It’s hard enough these days to get an order from one of the US based companies (even the ones that manufacture the products here). If you do find a US company, the lead times are long ( I know that many of them are built to order, so the time makes sense, but I’ve been hearing even that is longer than usual).

Unlike many here, I am open open to potential suggestions. Plus, I would like to know if the EVO products are available in the US with reasonable pricing.

Thanks—-
