Porsche is currently putting the finishing touches on the most hardcore version of the 911, and patent photos have revealed what it will look like.

Found by Car Magazine, the patent photos show the upcoming Porsche 911 GT3 RS, likely in its finished form. Though we have already seen spy photos along with a scale model of the car, these new shots are the clearest depiction of exactly what the car will look like when it is revealed.

Just about every body panel on this car appears to be new, including a revised hood along with a new roof that features a ‘double bubble’ design to accommodate helmeted passengers. A wider track is seen on this car along with flared fenders, a new front splitter, larger vents over the front wheels and a massive fixed rear wing.

Exactly what will power the 911 GT3 RS is unknown, although Car believes it will be a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat six tuned to put out around 500 hp. Although that isn’t the most powerful 911, that distinction goes to the 911 Turbo S, the GT3 RS should be the fastest around the race track thanks to its aerodynamic enhancements and low weight.

While a manual transmission was rumored to be an option, Car says that a seven-speed PDK will be the only gearbox.

The GT3 RS will be a 2015 model year car, which means that it should arrive sometime before the end of 2014.

It's about effing time. I can't wait to see this beast in person. I have always been a fan of the 911 GT3, now time to take it to another level.

How much more can we expect this to be than the 911 GT3?
