Finally locked down an order for a Guards Red base Cayman manual with black/red bordeaux interior. I went back and forth for this color combo but finally decided to go for it.

Congratulations. Beautiful color the guard red. The whole color choosing and wheel style I found incredibly hard as I bounced between 3 different colors from one day to the next. Finally went with 2018 Base GT Silver and 20" Carrera Classics, Ordered last week arrive end of July. Atleast that's what they tell me,

I'll be interested what you think about the interior combination when you get it. That was one of the ones i thought about, but in the end didn't go with (as I got Sapphire Blue exterior and didn't think it would work.)

Yes, ext/int color/wheel combo was a major headache for me too. I found the 20" painted to be really nice, but decided against base on cost.

I went back and forth on that combo. Will sure post some picture when it arrives.
The color in person is slightly different from pictures/videos you can find on the internet. I went to different dealers to check out various cars with the black/red bordeaux interior. (none are Gurads red). Even with the darker/purple tone on the red bordeaux, I think it will brighten the interior of the Cayman. I would not do it for a red boxster though.
