2019. Ordered in May. July production. Got it a wek ago. A little different being all white. Body and wheels. Also went with the “Leather Interior with Sport-Tex Seat Centers in Black/Dark Silver”. Nicely surprised at how good it look in person and stay cools in the hot weather.

Brake dust will not be your friend, though.
Nice car! I would definitely cover the wheels with ceramic pro, easier to keep clean. The outer part of my wheels are covered with ceramic. I usually wipe them down after a day of driving

agreed re brake dust and protection but at least they are only white on the outer part of the wheel - if they had been white on the inner part of wheel as well then real problems with road muck unless you are an obsessive cleaner

but they do look awesome

liked the Type R comment as well - great car if you liked high revs and lots of gear changes - a PDK Type R might have been fun though

You might want to avoid wearing jeans when you drive. My interior is black and when I use leather cleaner I always get blue color on the micro fiber cloth from my jeans. You can't see it on black but I'm sure you will see it on white. It was very evident on my 2011 Boxster Spyder with Carrera Red leather interior. I wound up cleaning the leather on that car at least once a week. Beautiful Cayman. Good luck with it.

Thanks. I have the Leather interior in Black with Dark silver stitching and Sport-Tex centers. I will see how much blue color from jean gets transfer to the black sport-tex center fabric. Like you said, problably won't notice until cleaned.

I did ceramic treated them. Pretty easy to clean. Just wipe them with a humid microfiber rag. Easy and works great.
Did you treat them yourself and, if so, what product did you use?

My bad. I thought you had white interior. That would have been a nightmare.

Today I drove very spirited for couple of hours(around 150 miles). Tomorrow(Is already nightime here)I will take a look at the wheels to see how the ceramic treatment together with the Armor All protectant worked. I did take a look at them halfway and they were pretty clean.

I had a professional do the ceramic and xpel full front and rocket panels kit. I forgot the ceramic brand. Will look tomorrow and let you know.

I can say that today was the first time out on a pleasure trip(car has 134 miles this morning and 310 tonight) and I really enjoyed the car. Very comfortable. I did install the PASM DSC ecu that i had from my previous 991.1tts and tpc upgraded last week for 718 use. Roads here are in pretty bad shape(probably the worst in the nation) and I could barely feel the potholes. One or two were serious but you only feel a solid and distant “thuk”. Regular PASM is great and with the DSC it is really smooth even with the 20in wheels.

On my way, there was a a long climb up to like a 1000m and then it goes down to sea level. Going up there was construction(fixing potholes!!) so traffic was heavy but going down it was smooth sailing with long sweeping curves and the car behaved beautifully. Felt so planted and confidence inspiring. I bought this car for its agility and fun level. Definitely a bullseye.

Full throttle sound is great. But in sport or sport+ just idling along at 5-15mph definitely sound like a flat 4. Not really bad but it did reminded me of the modified Subaru’s sti engine sound. Only noticed it when going slowly in and out of my neighborhood so i just put it in the std. setting which quiet everything down.

Power wise the car is ok. Definitely no 991tts. i did notice a significant amount of “turbo lag” or “lack of torque” when being easy on throttle applications and in the lower regions of the rpms. It just feels flat. I still need to figure out if it is turbo lag, lack of torque or a combination of both. After all it still a 4 cyls. which are not known for being torque monster although the power/torque delivery is very linear not like the highly modified 944 turbo I had a long time ago which had a ton of turbo lag and power/torque came like a sudden kick in your behind.
The 718 GTS when driven with determination and higher in the rpm range was very responsive and pretty fast. Couple of time did not realize the speed I was going. A Cobb’s Accessport and a downpipe might make this car perfect for me as far as power/torque requirements.

First impression is definitely positive and looks like a keeper.

Pd: Dealer delivered the car with 91oct gas and for the few miles i drove the car it felt really weak. So yesterday I mixed whatever was left( 5/8 of a tank) with 5 gallons of Sunoco 260 GT Plus gas (106oct) and it did make a noticeable seat of the pants difference. I saw 17psi of boost a few times.
