I'm going to be away for 6 weeks and leaving my car behind. It's kept in a garage in Brooklyn so not very practical to set up a battery tender, and there's no one I can have drive the car for me while I'm away (nor would I want anyone else to in BK/Manhattan). Is it okay to just leave it there for 6 weeks or do I need to make some alternate arrangements?

I would disconnect the battery also but given it's an AGM and has a low self discharge rate I think it is debatable whether you need to keep it on a tender for six weeks. Tender won't hurt it( and is preferred) but you may not want to spend the 50 bucks or have the facilities to easily plug it in. Batteries are heavy and I don't go out of my way anymore to move them around if I don't have to.

The issue is it's a valet-only garage in NY so they park the cars bumper to bumper in an underground area so stuff like taking the battery out is a no go since I can't actually go down there and do it myself, and don't want them messing with it. I'll see if they will put it in the back somewhere and plug the tender in since it just uses the 12V socket.

Have you asked the garage itself about this?

In NYC, people leave for weeks -- even months -- at a time all the time. People don't drive their cars for weeks at a time all the time, too -- that's one of several reasons valet-only garages like yours exist there. Cars are optional.

I've GOT to think that your garage has a contingency for this. If it doesn't, find another garage, even if it costs more -- seriously. That one isn't meeting your (and many other 'mobile' New Yorkers) needs.
