Are you saying your dealer has an allocation for your configuration? May I ask where your dealer is located?
Houston, TX but every dealer I spoke to has allocations (6 in Texas and Beverly Hills too). All dealers in Texas have July allocations. BH said their first allocation is for August which is why I decided not to go with them.

Thanks for that. Is there some central source for who has allocations or are you getting that info the hard way - by calling the dealers?
I did all negotiating via email. I started by emailing 6 dealers for their best price, what deposit they required, and what their first 2019 allocation was. Then took the highest discount and lowest deposit and replied to all dealers asking if they could beat the best quote. I then tried a third time and was about to give up when I decided to email Porsche Beverly Hills and they had the best price of all. I gave my local dealers last shot to match as I wanted to buy from them but they are smaller dealers and couldn't match so I went to Houston (few hours away from me). I finally got Houston to match BH and went with them.

Everyone had July allocations open except BH who had August. During negotiations one dealer sold their July allocation and I took one from Houston but the other 4 dealers still have allocations.

I would skip or change:

Interior Trim in Leather in Interior Color i.c.w. Leather Interior Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur - SKIP
go for brusched alu or carbon fiber, standard alu can reflect the sun in a horrible way

Porsche Crest on Headrests Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur - SKIP
Porsche Entry & Drive - Bad option but good if you would like to have your car stolen or if your to lazy to press a button or two ;)
Steering Column Casing in Leather Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur - SKIP
Door Sill Guards in Stainless Steel Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur - SKIP

The money i saved i would put on better front lights like PDLS

If money is not an issue, I would keep what you have and add:
18- or 14-way seats (IF other people will drive the car regularly)
LED or black Bi-Xenon lights with PDLS
Light Design Package (to get the visor lights)
Platinum Satin for the wheels

If you are trying to stay at a certain price, I would delete the following to add some/all of the above:
Porsche Crest on Headrests
Steering Column Casing in Leather
Door Sill Guards in Stainless Steel
NOTE: I originally had all of these but the spouse "strongly suggested" eliminating these to get some of the other options as we had set an $80K limit.

But these are all just my suggestions - get whatever YOU want!

Interior trim in leather to me changes the car into a true luxury car. After seeing it in person it's now one of my favorite options. I originally had brushed aluminum spec'd but now I don't think I'd go back.
The Porsche Crest on the headrests is a pure smile generator for me. I think it adds to the class of the interior of the car.
Entry & Drive is something I absolutely hated as I rent a lot of cars as I always forgot to take the keys out of my pocket when leaving the car. Then I bought a car that had it and now I don't want to live without it. Stories of car theft are greatly over-exaggerated. Also, luxury cars are about making life easier. If you want a hardcore sports car then Porsche in general is the wrong place to look. ;)

I am on the fence about PDLS. I'm still not convinced it's worth $1500 for just a 20 degree swivel. I've watched videos of cars that have it and while it may be helpful on windy roads I don't nearly as much of a benefit for city/residential driving.

Its not so much about the swivel, its about them being much more brighter at night.
I had it on my 718 BS but not on my 718 CS and boy do i miss them!!

*edit*
There is a thread some where around here on the subject.

I'm going to be the only primary driver so the 18-way is a hard sell. It would be nice when I valet (maybe once every 2 years). I'm just afraid that the 2-way may not be able to position into quite as comfortable position as the 18-way for long drives.
The light design package is something tons of people have suggested but I don't think I would miss it. I never use visor lights in my cars and doubt it would change on this one.
I had satin wheels optioned on the S I was building but on the GTS I think the black wheels look better with the blacked-out style that Porsche puts on the GTS. I definitely love the satin but I'm sold on black for now.

Btw, my target price is $65k but that ship sailed A LONG time ago.

I agree re interior trim. I went for interior GTS pack. Once I'd seen it in the flesh I was sold even though it is an expensive option. It added a whole new dimension to the look and feel of the interior and that is where I spend all my time.

Stories of keyless entry theft are not greatly exaggerated, at least not in the UK. We had a car with keyless entry stolen off our driveway.

I didn't add keyless entry to my GTS spec. Once bitten, twice shy as they say.

I went for PDLS. I was also unsure. I do like it. Not 100% sure it is worth the money if most driving is done in well lit areas. The car does look much better though with the 4 led daytime running lights. I don't think they come with the standard lights.

if you want the luxury car feel then parking sensors are a worthwhile option, the two way climate control is a must and the light design package is useful (especially if your passenger is expecting a light for their vanity mirror!).

I'm also the primary driver so no need for 18 way seats. 2 way seats are amazing, even on long drives, and I have no need for more adjustment.

Black wheels look great on the GTS with the added unexpected benefit (at least one I hadn't thought of) that they never look dirty.

I don't quite remember the deal on the GTS, but it looks like you have the Premium Package or whatever it's called. I know a lot of folks here have angst about Entry and Drive, but for me it was a financial thing. To get the other features in the package individually just to avoid Entry and Drive didn't make sense to me.

OP there are many people that do not like black wheels not the least of which is Andreas Preuninger, Mr. GT. My feeling about black wheels, and this is a personal opinion, is that they make the wheels look smaller and it detracts from the beauty of the body design of the 718, and quite frankly, they never look as clean as the stock Porsche silver wheels when appropriately maintained and detailed. Bottom line, for your Porsche select whatever colors or wheels that resonate with your sense of esthetics and you can't go wrong.

I actually wanted satin wheels at first. When I decided to upgrade from an S to a GTS I found the black wheels were "free" and I would have to pay more for satin wheels which is crazy because satin and black are the same price on the S.

I spent about 2 months just deciding on wheel color. I ultimately left the black wheels (default and "free" on a GTS) because Porsche obviously wants GTS to be blacked out since they include all the tinted headlights and taillights. I was not a fan of black wheels when I started but at the end of the ~2 month internal debate I ended up appreciating the darker look of the car. If I was buying an S I would 100% go with satin but with the GTS I think it's a toss-up and for me one of the deciding factors was that black is free and satin costs $. I appreciate your support although there is no chance of me changing wheel color at this point. Other options yes but I've spent so much time evaluating wheel choices I'm confident in my choice.

Parking sensors aren't an option on Boxsters (please correct me if I missed them). I don't often drive with passengers so I'm more worried about my own luxery and not other's. I would like climate control but I don't think they are worth the money for me. The light design package is similar. I don't think I will miss it but it's probably the one option I know the least about. I've read at least 5 different discussions on them and even when people try to explain what the use is I still don't get it. I believe there is a reading light and vanity lights. Some people have even said it is required for trunk lights but I believe that person was proven wrong multiple times.

Right now I'm driving an MR2 Spyder which is about as bare-optioned car as you can get. My wife and I have never needed a vanity mirror nor a light in my car. I'm definitely open to opinions if I'm missing something. My biggest fear is to realize I missed something awesome after I get the car :)
