Recently became the proud owner of a 2017 718 Boxster S and I have 2 questions? Any suggestions on to connect the garage door opener? I have gone by the instructions using my handheld opener, the left turn signal flashes as indicated but the door still doesn't open?


Second question, the AC comes on every time I start the car even though I have reset on the car panel it still comes on?


Any help would be appreciated.

In my 718 C I have to hold the button in the car for about 2 seconds for the door to work. I programed it using the hold it infront of the bumper cover method & worked perfect the first try.

Turn of the AC on the button under the radio/Pcm and it should stay of next time you start the car.

I had the same issue with mine and found out it was my garage opener which did not support the in car remote. The opener was made in 2012 so I was surprised about that.
Maybe I shouldn't have been but I'm not up on garage door openers. Anyway, they offered to sell me a box to make it work. Thanks but no thanks - I'll just use the little box that came with the garage opener (read remote here). I clipped it to a perfect spot on the kick panel directly below the steering wheel. It is pretty much out of site yet easy to get to.

Does the car have a memory package, which remembers settings (synced to your key fob)? In addition to remembering position of seat and steering wheel, it remembers the a/c settings.

On my 718BS, it remembers everythig (AC settings, mirror, seats). The only thing I have to adjust is the rear view mirror (when my wife takes the car)
