Hello I have been using my 718 C for almost 2 years which I bought brand new with quite full option package. I was previously driving BMW 428 i and pass to 718 this is my first Porsche and of course my childhood dream.

I have previously drive all king of german Premium brands ( Audi, BMW, Mercedes) also AlfaRomeo but I can say that dirving Porsche is something unique experience hence one of my friend Who owns a 991.1 4s told to me when I buy this car ."If you put your ass to a Porsche seat impossible to get up". I can say he was beyond being right it was a law statement true . Of course I am watching a lot of you tube videos and of course I am following understatement of Turbo 4 cylinder engines so I want to say something about it.

As I watch a lot of youtuber is very focus on the noise and they are ignoring all other significant improvement that exists in new 718 I have a Word for that noise. I have never driven Porsche before so I can be naive to critise the big noise argument in Porsche world but what I can critise is the thing I heard when I am driving my Porsche. Man this is a nice sound period which I heard from the 25 cm back of my rib is just hilarious. It might be not a naturally aspirated engine sound but what I hear and feel more technic and refined voice. As I say maybe if I had driven 982 cayman I might think different but in my world there is no place to argue the sound . So as a result the sound critisism doesn't mean anything to me and the car is dropdead beautiful in design with a go-kart feeling small and nimble body as I said it is a unique experience for entering Porsche World.
Cheers

I second that sentiment. Im a gt350 shelby person at heart and love the sound. Main one sticking my head out the window just to hear the growl. Now 718s 4T is a different animal. Understand the gripes but love it when she is out in gear and that turbo kicks in. No complaints. Dont have any other to compare. Having waaaaay to much fun driving mine. Thats the point right? Love what you purchase.

The wheels on your 718 are the ones I wanted on mine. :)
Great looking vehicle there.

Welcome!
I also bought my white, 2018 Cayman almost two years ago.
We ordered it new and picked it up at the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta (here in the USA).
It's also my first real Porsche and I am very happy with it.

As you say, it's a beautiful car and criticism about the engine sound is nonsense.
Be well!

Great color combo. What part of Turkey are you in?
hi! thanks to everyone, actually I did it in porsche web site million time with different colour and spec options this red interiour lead me to fall in love with overall looking and I gone with this preferences. I am living in Istanbul northwest part of Turkey:) actually Turkey is the worst place to buy a Porsche cause the tax are ridicilous for cars and especially the cars > 2.0 liter engine is beyond ridiculous.

Great points you make, mine is jet black but also 2 years now, 14k miles and I love the sound, I put it into sports mode just to hear the throatiness. My wife knows when I’ve arrived to pick her up from work and my neighbours (yes, they said so) know when I’ve arrived home - just what I wanted. You don’t drive a Porsche to hide away :p

sport mode sound is more noisy then sport + , so as soon as I turn the ignition key I turn it directly to sport mode. Rarerly using it in normal mode moreover the start stop thing really kills me :), that is the only thing I dislike in my Porsche.

Agreed on the eco mode. It's a huge PIA! I keep trying to set my individual setting, but it looses it's settings when I turn the car off.

@jester - Is the car a GTS, or does it just have the GTS styling?

Hi’ this is base cayman 2.0 actually I ordered it with sport design package and turbo wheels then I painted side slats to white thats all but I think gts versions are coming with red calipers and I guess a little bit lower( not sure though). my next move would be gts but since they are coming with manual Transmission after 2020 I dont think I will move now. I am way happy with pdk gearbox
