Starting a new thread. I plan to make some more changes throughout the year. At this point, it doesn't seem like I'll build this out for the track so weekend car and date nights it is.

Here's the build so far:
2017 718 Cayman S
6 Speed Manual
PTV
PASM
GIAC Tune
H&R Springs
Brixton Forged RF7 in BBS Gold
991 Front Spoiler
EMC2 Spoiler Adapter and Side Vents
NR Auto GT4
BBI Rollbar
TWL Ducktail

More to follow. 😬

Awesome build! What wheels did you consider other than Brixton? Who are the big lightweight wheel leaders lately?
Love those wheels. Silver on gold is and underrated combo imo.

Thanks Nova996! I got lucky with this set. Bought it used in gloss black and had them refinished. Came out really well (IMHO).

I wanted 20” wheels so options were limited. If I went with 19” I’d go with Apex but mostly because I wasn’t ready to shell 6-8k for Forgelines or Fikses. I think Apex will have 20” available in our size and offsets by this summer.

hmmm I can’t believe Fikse is still around. I had those on an e36 back in the day. I haven’t bought a set of aftermarket wheels in 2 decades. I’ll be following this thread to learn from what you do next. It looks good so far.

what are your thoughts on HRE? I guess those are also in that 6-8k range.

Yeah I forgot to mention HRE. Some really nice wheels in that range. Their FF line is pretty decent at a better price point too! I think @mattchow has a set still available for sale.

@mattchow congrats. Thanks for help with this build. I like the TWL ducktail. Nice and subtle.

Perfect surrounding to let your wheels totally pop! The temptation to have the side vents painted to match your wheels would be incredibly overwhelming...YMMV.

Love the wheels! Do you have any pictures of the front to show off the EMC2 spoiler better?

Just added a new one to the top post. I was really happy with it. It’s just enough IMHO. I may still go with the TechArt solution in the future but really happy with this.
Here is another view.

Here's a pic before wheels, front lip and TWL ducktail. Feels like a new car now.

Definitely some more performance work - downpipe, exhaust, etc. The Numeric short shifter looks like a nice addition as well.
Suspension will probably stay as is unless we find a solution for reliable track use without limp mode.

Possibly TechArt all around. I’m not a fan of the front grill slats. Thinking of a solution for that part of the front building per. Ideas?
Beautiful car! I really love the TWL ducktail. I think that just moved to the top of my list...

Also - how do you like the GIAC tune? One of the local performance shops here recommends it but I know its not as common as APR, Cobb, etc for the 718 platform.

She bucks. ;) Night and day compared to the stock setup. Power comes on relatively quickly once you're on the throttle. I can't compare driveability to any of the other tunes but no complaints at all.
