OK, perhaps this is a stupid issue, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice. I have a 718 Cayman S 2019, with the base headlights. What I've noticed in pictures is that the DRLs are a small LED line on the inside of the headlight assembly. I have 2 friends with 981 GT4s, and theirs both use the led strip at the leading edge of the car below the headlight assembly as their DRLs. My 718 has the same light as theirs, but for some reason, it is ONLY the parking light. Is there any way to change this? The led strip on their 2016 cars looks way more modern than the wimpy little lights on my 2019 car. And for those who will ask why I didn't order my car with upgraded headlights, I bought it off dealer stock and so didn't have the choice, nor did I know this about the DRLs till later on. anyway, worth asking if there's an easy fix here?

yes just like that. my drls are the same as that grey 718, but my 2 friends 981 gt4 use the led strip below it. on ours, that strip turns on as the parking lights. wish that could just be the drls, they look way sharper.

The 4-point lights are on the LED headlight upgrade. The base headlights look like the pic above.

There are 3 levels of lights: base, bi-xenon, LED. Both upper levels have the 4 riding lights each side.
Upgrading the lights would be expensive—it's a $670 option on a new car.

Why does the quadrilateral light itself still appear present in the Bi-Xenon upgrade? I believe your statement that the 4-point ones are only present w/ upgrade, but then in what instance is that quad light active if you have elected for that upgrade? See example pic.

I had a Carrera T with LED. The 4 lights came on as daytime running lights (DRL's).
