It would be interesting and helpful if our members can report the rate of oil consumption on their 718s. My 718 has had no measurable consumption but, I am curious if that is a common finding amongst our august body of 718 owners.

Only done 300 miles in the 718 so difficult to comment but none of my Porsches have ever used any oil.

I have a 2018 718 C base (performance options: mt, pasm) that delivered on 10/10/17. The car now has 8500 miles with oil indicator still at full. BTW 27.5 mpg overall (so I do use 6th gear....).

When I got my car, the dealer told me (without asking) that I do not need to measure oil since the last Porsche no longer consumption of oil. Had the car for only two days, so I can't tell personally. But they seemed to be very proud to say that.

12000 Km of spirited driving in 9 months and the oil level has dropped only one click from the "full right up mark". It still says "Oil level is normal."

According to the manual the difference between Max and Min is one litre (US Quart), and some oil use is normal.

Only 1300 miles on my 718cs to far (should double that next week with trip to France and Switzerland), have been keeping to the recommended break in regime and there has been no discernible drop in the oil level so far.

I also stuck to the recommended break-in regime with my 987CS, and ignoring oil changes when servicing fell due, I only needed to top-up with about 800ml of oil over 6.5 years and that was done about 1200 miles from new.

About 8,100 miles and no oil consumption as far as I can tell. I did an oil change at around 7,500 miles (which was at the 1 year mark).

Every car that I've owned that was equipped with a turbo burned oil...so far only 1100 miles on my 718 cs...nothing yet

2017 Boxster 718S, 7500 miles and ZERO oil usage. First oil change at 12 months and 3800 miles, and still 4 months to next change. We followed the break in requirements...

It seems pretty consistent that, in most cases, with the 718 there is minimal or no apparent measurable oil consumption over time. I have 7K miles and I can report my oil level is still at the original max fill line. Though, for full disclosure I had the oil changed @2360 and then @2501 miles (+/- 1 mile).

I had 2 turbo-charged cars prior to my 718 - a 2004 MX-5 MazdaSpeed and a 2010 Mazda CX-7. Neither consumed any oil between 5000 mile oil/filter changes. The MX-5 also had about 30 track days over a 4 year period. My 718 has 13,500 miles (oil/filter change at 10,000 miles) and has not consumed any oil.

No observable oil consumption on my 718 CS. 3 oil changes, about every 2500 mi. I track it hard. 18 track days so far.
