718 PDK Shifting in full throttle (without Chrono)

I have 2017 718 Cayman with PDK. I haven't done a full throttle acceleration, so here's my question -- with such acceleration, gas pedal to the floor, will it shift up just before RPM reaching red line or do I need to pull back on gas pedal? I want to make sure it will upshift without going into red line RPM.

It'll shift.

I haven't done a full throttle acceleration
Really?????
I was under the impression the right pedal was an on off switch
lol

you are missing out
the 718 at full tilt will make you grin
more than a few seconds however gets you into "go to jail" territory

One of the main reasons the PDK is so much quicker accelerating than a manual is the fact that you can simply plant your foot & keep it there. :)
Great. Will have to full throttle once engine and oil are warmed up.
Interesting thought: with PDK is it even possible to hit the rev-limiter? As a manual driver I've bounced off the rev-limiter often enough to testify to its presence.....

Maybe rev-limiter is becoming an anachronism along with manual gearbox?

In manual mode the PDK will bounce off the rev limiter all day long if you don't shift.
