I put down my deposit on August 31st and finally picked up my 718 boxer yesterday. I haven't had a chance to drive it extensively yet but can't wait for the long weekend ahead. Here are some pictures.

I put my deposit down in September of 2017. Swdea and I both had our cars on the same boat from Germany. It was a **** of a wait. Car is going in for ppf on Saturday so the wait continues...

First, CONGRATS! To both of you. I'm sure you'll love the car.

But nine months? Wow!.......I ordered mine about three weeks before you and I picked it up in early December (basically, four months......which I though was forever).

Actually, I opted to pick it up at PEC/Atlanta. If I had picked it up at my local dealer (Porsche Monmouth in New Jersey) I could have gotten it two weeks earlier. Wonder why yours took so long?

My 718 Boxster took 4 months (6/30/16 to 10/31/16) and I was without a car during that time. The dealer wanted my 2012 Boxster trade right away.

I wouldn't call it a great deal but it was significantly better than the other Porsche Dealer in the area. Remember, if you keep your car 4 months (or more) longer the sale price and trade-in value will probably go down. Not to mention I needed a new windshield and probably a clutch on my 2012 Boxster during that 4 month period. The dealer absorbed the cost of those two items and my wife was nice enough to share her car with me.
