I would tend to agree, but I am sure it sounds better than the TaycanTo be honest, the 718 GT4 with GPF sounds bad. It does NOT sound better than the 2.5T to me. Especially if they've had to take out the burbles and whatnot.
I wasn't aware that ANY 718 Spyder/GT4 had been delivered to the US, the only examples were press cars... can you be sure that it was a 718? Did you take any pictures?Just for a compare....
I was at a local (SoCal) C&C last weekend and a new 718 Boxster Spider drove in and parked. Young couple got out and got something out of the trunk. I only noticed it because of the different rear deck and top design and the small area for the license plate/bumper in the rear. The exhaust made very little sound. I don't think many at the show even realized it was the new Spider. No one came over to look at it.
When they left, it barely made a noise....
Ok, there have been a few press cars around, the Smoking Tire guy had one for a few days and a couple of the magazines have done some drives in California as well, the few pictures I have seen were a Spyder in Gentian Blue sporting only the rear plate out of Florida...Might have been a press car. Quite dirty as if it had been driven a ways. No pics. I just noticed it when they opened the rear trunk.
Can't wait to see that. I don't think he ever did an "unsupervised" One Take in a 718 before. Given that a Porsche rep was sitting in the seat next to him I don't think he could be ask blunt as he likes to be.the Smoking Tire guy had one for a few days
Actually he did a One Take on a 718 Boxster S quite awhile ago in Portugal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71dPKCqVegsCan't wait to see that. Hmm. Strangely, the word “neutered” comes to mind.Just for a compare....

I imagine the 982’s owner got a chuckle, too. Sitting parked is the only time the 981 is going to beat his car at anythingBe your own judge. I got a good chuckle from it
