Waiting on my car......were you able to solve the problem with AC fan with the memory function? This irritates me. Every time I start the car, the AC and fan kicks on and every time I have to manually turn it off. I want it to stay off all the time unless i need it. Anyone know how?
I don't have the memory package either but I am not experiencing the same problem that you are. After reading your post I tried to duplicate what is happening to you. When I start my Boxster it reverts to whatever I had as my last setting. So if I had the AC on when I turned the car off the AC is on when I start the car. The same is so when I have the AC off and turn it back on. I know this really doesn't help you but I would say that you probably have a stuck switch or perhaps even a software malfunction. I would take it to the dealer and have them take care of the problem. It certainly is not a normal occurrence. That's only if you have the memory package, which I don't. I have no settings anywhere that lists "Air Conditioner". Can anyone else chime in to tell me when they turn the key on that climate control also comes on?
As far as my car is concerned it is a "feature" I don't have.:laugh:I just spoke to one of the service advisors at my local Porsche dealership. According to her, it is a "feature" of the system that the air conditioning always turns on with the car regardless of whether it was on or off the last time you exited the car. <snip>.

I have the enter and drive option in my car. She said that the best that I can do is to set the fan on low and the temperature on a comfortable level, and sync that to my key so that I don't get a blast of cold air on start-up. Honestly, that makes absolutely no sense.
