I disagree with this. I know lots of people who run them in the white PCA group. They last/perform really well. And it is not like they are just cruising around.
PS4S for track = not so good. I have one track day on them and 1K miles and they are about 50% worn. I don't drive that hard but can push the car to 85%ish of the limit. They do overheat easy and get greasy really quick. If you do light tracking you should be ok, but if you run hard they are not ideal.

I have a question for the group. Is anyone running upgraded rotors? I put the Girodisc 350mm front and 330mm rear rotors on recently and want to go from 20" to 19" or even 18" wheels on my 718S but am concerned about brake clearance issues. Does anyone have experience with larger rotors and what size wheels will work?

I'm not running Girodiscs yet, but plan to do so in the future.
I was also thinking about running 18" track wheels.

I'm have to make a decision on wheels very soon, so this topic is a hot item for me.
I dont want to exclude GD 350/330 discs in future if they don't fit in 18" wheels.

Also; When your GD 350/330 discs were installed, were the caliper mounts modified for the increased size?

I did look into the Girodisc upgrade and they do supply new caliper mounts with the discs so it is plug and play.

Not sure of compatibility with 18" though.

I just did a quick check with some paper templates that I made up.
Its a little complicated to just calc because going from 20s (me to 18" the clearance changes radially.
And while the GiroDiscs are also a radial increase, the calipers with spacers do not move in the same radial plane.

In a nut shell going from 20 (or 19) to 18" is no problem, but there will be just slightly more than 10mm clearance to the tightest point of the caliper.

The GiroDisc web site doesn't state the dimensions for the spacer that they use, but going from OE 330mm to GiroDisc 350mm;
I'm sure that 10mm space will not be nearly enough for 18s

I'm sure a quick call to GiroDisc would confirm whether I am right or wrong.
