Just surpassed 2000 mile official break-in period in my new CGTS. However, there may have been a time or two that the car couldn't help itself from a few "surges" - hence the new radar detector
What a blast to drive this car! Can't wait to get it on the track later this summer at Mid-Ohio Raceway.

That is a great feeling to have the car properly run in, and now, unadulterated fun. BTW, I see you specced white instrument and sports chrono dials, how do you like them?

I really like them for two reasons:
1. They look cool.
2. I'm getting older and my eyes are getting worse. The white background makes them easy to see.

I also specced white dials to lighten up the interior with all that black leather and Alcantara; they do look nice in your GTS.

I have 17,500 miles on my '17 CS PDK and I think the car really started to loosen up after about 15,000 miles. My fuel economy has improved on trips. And the engine seems to be happier at higher revs. Forget about all the 6cyl b.s. These engines after breakin love to rev.
A few times when passing at about 50 mph, I have downshifted into second and my car's power is shocking and shifting into third comes up pretty fast and so does 90 in third. Enjoy your car.

Love Mid Ohio. I’ve done around 12 track days there, but none in my 718. I’m in a Cleveland suburb. Where are you located?

I'm in Columbus. I've never been on a track and won't push it too hard. Just want to feel the excitement that this car provides.
I'm doing it through MVP Track Time. Who did you use for track access?

what radar detector did you get. Any thoughts on it so far?

Uniden R3. So far so good. I’ve only had it for about a week though. The blendmount under mirror mount is expensive but makes everything look clean. Had it installed at best buy for $50.
