I just got a panicked call from home that the alarm was going off. The car is in the garage plugged in to the charger. I had my partner unlock and lock the car, and I just checked the camera and sure enough it started going off on it's own. Has this happened to anyone else? If it happens again I'm obviously going to have to speak to the service department, but maybe it's a known issue?

Yes, yesterday I went out to the car to get something, locked it up via the remote and came back in the house. About 3-5 min later the alarm went off. With the remote again unlocked then locked the car. It didn’t go off again. Watched the Nest video and nothing touched or came near the car when it went off.

I’m having this same issue. Alarm has gone off twice now in the middle of the night. In garage. No apparent activity. Very annoying. I have Entry and Drive for what it’s worth.
The dealer reflashed the alarm computers and all issues went away. Locks and unlocks work as expected too. I made another post with More details.

Darn it! Mine just did this tonight as well. No apparent reason. I do have my CTEK on it and all the lights are on indicating that it's in pulse mode and is fully charged. Opened doors, locked it up again and activated the alarm again- I hope the heck this doesn't become a thing.

Hey guys,

2015 981 boxster s, 33k miles, upgrades include Porsche dealer installed plenum, pse, throttle body. Recently had door panel adhesive because they were departing, and installed k&n filters myself.

The other day I opened the trunk and the alarm activated. Nothing heavy inside. When I pressed the remote unlock, the car unlocked. When I pressed the lock, the vehicle locked. The alarm was activated the whole time. I drive home with the alarm activated--beep, beep, beep--for 30 seconds, a 10 second break, and then again.

Called the dealership and they had no explanation. Eventually, the alarm stopped after cycling over a dozen times.

Now, the trunk, frunk, and door locks no longer function from inside the vehicle, whether if it's off or on.

The panic button, trunk, and frunk on the remote still functions. I replaced the battery. When I reconnected the alarm again activates.

This has happened to me twice now, both times right after I got on the freeway around midnight, in basically the same place. The siren, flashers and interior lights all activate as I'm driving and it's incredibly embarrassing and extremely annoying. Both times I pulled over and shut off and restarted the car, but the alarm came right back on, leaving me no option but to drive it that way until it eventually shuts off after several minutes. Did I mention it was incredibly embarrassing?

That sounds like some powerful interference set it off. Can you see anything on a map that may have generated pulses, like a government experimental lab?

I know that a fair few Ford trucks set off my proximity sensors. :(

There's really nothing there. And I drive that way every day and it's only happened twice. My proximity sensors get set off occasionally too, but I haven't paid attention to what vehicles are setting them off. Same thing happens with my wife's Macan.
