Glad nobody was hurt but I thought it was a little ugly anyway so no great loss, IMO.

That's a terrible shame. I think the 110 is one of the best-looking cars ever built.
By coincidence I was given an up close look at one of the most famous Alpines ever built just last week: the M64 Long Tail that won its class at LeMans in 1964.
A friend of mine is involved in an effort to run it at the historic LeMans in 2018.
