Johan, I presume that you are interested in doing this for purely esthetic purposes. I would be interested in what you ultimately decide and how it works as I am thinking about doing something to the cockpit aluminum trim, which is particularly reflective of sunlight on my drive.

will do!
I havent tried to take it of but i guess its the whole piece inc the brown parts that comes of.
If its so i might just mask the Brown parts and paint the Aluminium looking part black.

I had same trim as you in my Boxster and the reflection was horrible!
Before i trashed it i decided to change it to the carbon fiber, i have that in my Cayman and the its a little bit darker in the cabin but no more "i am gonna make you blind"

*edit*
Yeps, its purely esthetic :)

I was thinking about wrapping the interior trim, but wouldn't the wrap, itself, be shiny in spite of the color or pattern of the wrap?

The carbon fiber in my Cayman is stock and like real cf its pretty glossy but no reflections what so ever.
If i would wrap i would use something semi matt cause gloss would be reflective to.
The part i would like to paint would be a pain to wrap cause of the "fins"
