Happy New Year Everyone!!

Just thought I would say hello! - I took delivery of my base Cayman about 5 weeks ago, to be used as my daily driver to replace a 2yr old TT. I’ve now done around 1k miles and have to say the smiles per gallon are waaaay above the TT, the 718 is a great car to drive.

Does everyone get a Porsche Experience day around the world? - I had several hours around the Silverstone Experiene Centre and have to say thought it was amazing, fantastic introduction to the brand and to find out what your model of car can do in a safe environment!! #Impressed

I picked up my 718C at the end of November. I live in Los Angeles and the PEC opened up here earlier in 2017. In response to my question when I was ordering my car, my SA told me that I do not get a PE with the purchase of my car. A friend (who just got a 911 GTS) and I are looking to do it, on our own nickel, some time in the coming months.
Yep: We in the U.S. don't get a PE with the car as part of the purchase price. I took delivery of my 718 in August, but paid for PE track time at PEC Atlanta in late September (and drove the new car with temporary tags 2,400 miles to get there and back!).

I'm starting to realize that as nice as most U.S. Porsche dealerships are, and as enabling as the Porsche 'ownership' experience as it relates to dealers is in the U.S., it is nothing compared to what most of the rest of the Western world gets. For instance, the swag that the Aussies get on a regular basis is envy-inducing ...
I replaced a Audi TTS with the Cayman which is waaaaay better (but more expensive). I tried the TTRS but not as involving as the Cayman.

Would I have paid for the PE if wasn't included? - yes I think I would. The skid plate was particularly interesting, as was the low grip tarmac circuit.

I would have paid too, having now experienced PEC! - fantastic addition to the Porsche buying experience IMHO. I too liked the skid plate & diamond cut surface, also the final few laps with the instructor driving really demonstrated its capabilities! ??
