Does Randy say something about the"all wheel drive traction is great in the Cayman" when he's coming out of the corkscrew?

Also, where did they place their microphone? I swear I'm hearing a blow off valve or waste gate sound that I've never heard in my GTS.
Yep, every time let go of the gas it sounds like a waste gate and some times we can hear turbo spool up..
On my BGTS i can hear the turbo if i press hard on the gas but never any waste gate.
If your in sport+ the turbo never really lets go of pressure, its a VTG :)

*edit*
And i left a comment about is ;)

+1 on wanting to know where they mounted the microphone because I actually really liked the turbo noise on that video.

Randy also drove the 718 Cayman S and the 2016 GT4 on laguna seca for motortrend hotlap videos as well. It'll never be completely fair comparisons, even just accounting for different weather conditions, different time of the year, etc but still kind of interesting:

718 Cayman GTS Time: 1:38.79
718 Cayman S Time: 1:40.05
2016 Cayman GT4 Time : 1:37.43

Just search youtube for "Cayman GT4 hotlap" or "718 Cayman S hotlap" to find the videos. Can't link them.

I made the comment about the smoothness of Randy............having raced Go Karts many years ago in a class that was highly momentum based, I spent many, many hours learning to drive as smoothly as possible and to avoid trail braking (scrub off only the amount of speed needed to avoid end swapping in turns)..........so, probably a tad sensitive too and appreciative of the skills he demonstrates. The Cayman's incredible balance and refined suspension enables a skilled driver to elicit performance beyond the pure numbers. It is why I first decided to buy a Cayman over a 911....now, on my 5th Cayman.
