Congratulations, I like the color but I’m not a fan of the two tone blue and white, or the blue bumper thingy or how loose the seat fabric is. ;)

Seriously and all joking aside, congratulations! Looks great! Can’t wait to see better pics and read your review on thIs new beast.

Ha-ha! These are Porsche Exclusive options :)

Unfortunately I got stuck in another hemisphere for quite a while. So I will be pleasing myself while reading other member's reviews

So bada$$! Wow! I assume it is Gentian Blue. It is really, really nice. Good choice on the black brushed aluminum trim. I have it on my 718 and rank it among the highest of the options I chose. Good luck, sir.
Thank you.
It is a gentian blue. Have never seen it in person but looked so good in videos so I took my chances.
Black aluminium was never really an option - was a must have for me. I had it in my previous car and loved it.

I thought I will not create a new thread since I haven't seen the car yet. So I'll just leave it here.

Could be a good idea to go through my options list in case it might help somebody who got stuck in the configurator (been there).

Gentian Blue. I've only had black cars so far so this time decided to go for some colour. Love python green and carmine red but don't like extra attention it brings. First choice was GT silver but after watching a video with GB GT4 I was sold.

Black wheels. No brainer at all. Love black wheels and GTS comes standard with these. Yay.

Black brake callipers. I would definitely leave red ones on pretty much any other colour but blue. Red/blue combination in any variations is just not my cup of tea. Glad porsche has finally added this option.

I got really lucky as my car came with michelins PS4 not p-zeroes. Unfortunately dealers don't have a clue what rubber car will be equipped with.

GTS black alcantara/leather interior. Love deviated stitching but with that pack you cannot get leather seats that gives you another important option - seat ventilation. I was tempted to get sportex black interior with beautiful chalk stitching but then again - no ventilation. So now it is a dark and cosy cave with black brushed aluminium trim. However leather, alcantara and metal they all have different shades and textures so it looks nice.

18-way seats. First I went with 2-ways as I don't often adjust my seating position but it also brings electronic steering wheel column adjustment and with that - Easy Access (or smth) when the wheel tilts up and seat goes back when you open the door. Makes it so much easier to get in and out.

Aluminium shifter. Its a free option so a no brainer. It replaces plastic inlay with brushed aluminium one plus it replaces alcantara on the knob with black leather. So its a win-win. I also got rid of alcantara on the steering wheel and also didn't want any controls there. Although I wouldn't mind heating option. Oh well.

Miami blue seat belts. Yeah baby! Well that's a controversial one I know. I've always wanted red seat belts but like I mentioned before there was no way to have them in this car. But hey there is miami blue. Still not sure about that but my wife said it looks awesome in person. Just adds a splash of colour to the dark interior.

Fire extinguisher. I thought its a must in a sports car but then I have no clue how to use it on a Cayman if engine catches fire. Any ideas how to access it?

PASM - 10mm. Comes standard with -20mm lowering but I just couldn't take my chances on that as I'm still worried about ground clearance of some spots I'm driving every day.

Thats about it. I hope it wasn't a very boring read.

Mine was supposedly building last week, so hoping it will be delivered in 3 weeks or so. But yours is the first I've actually seen delivered. And that was to...Australia? Bit unexpected if that's the case? But since it's LHD I'm guessing the car isn't in Australia? :)

No, it was EU. I am in Austarlia right now instead of being with my car :)

Congrats on the car!

Maybe I`'m missing something but how did you manage to get full leather seats but still have parts of the interior in alcantara? Looking at the configurator it's an all or nothing option, at least here in the UK. Selecting the black leather option deletes all alcantara.

Looking forward to hearing your first impressions. I had the option last year to delay my GTS 2.5 build for a 4.0 but long story short, I went the 2.5 route. No regrets but curious to see what might have been ;)

Safe travels.

Thanks!

It is not exactly the black leather interior. In UK this option is called "Black leather interior with extensive items in Alcantara®, seat centres in smooth-finish leather". This is basically GTS interior package just with black stitching and no alcantara. Oh, and there are black GTS logos on headrests. (y)

Good to know. I assumed once you selected the Black Leather interior that it deleted all the alcantara bits.

Congrats on the GTS, looking very fine even before she gets cleaned up!
Thank you!

My bad. It only deletes alcantara on the seats. Everywhere else it remains a usual GTS-pack alcantara interior. Leather steering wheel and leather gear shifter are options as well.

I think the door handles and door arm rests become leather when you do full leather seating package, yes? I know race-tex stays on the roof and a-pillars. It does stay on the glove box too?

Alcantara stays everywhere It would on a GTS interior package. That includes door handles, glove box, center armrest, etc.
