I'm looking for pads that don't dust nearly as much as stock. In my previous experience this means going to ceramic pads. In my BMW X5 I went to Akebono Ceramic and am very very happy with them. Looking at parts sites I see Brembo Ceramic for very reasonable prices. Anyone try them? Any other suggestions for an all street pad with minimal dust?

Just for street use? If so they work great.

Whats the issue on track?
Heat! Stock-like pads will not last on the track if you're driving even moderately quick.

I just checked with our rep at RaceTechnologies (Brembo usa) and he said there's nothing (ceramic pad wise) currently available for the 718, which agrees with all my catalogs..

Thank You!

You're absolutely correct. Racetechnologies considers that an OE replacement pad so it doesn't fall under the "high performance" program they offer.

We can get the rears, warehouse shows 1 set in stock. I think you can just grab these at your local parts store for ~$50 though.

Rockauto has them for $34.

A number of years ago I replaced the factory pads on a 3.0i Z3 with Akebono Ceramic pads and they not only completely eliminated the dust problem I could not tell the difference between them and the BMW factory pads. I would certainly use them again for my Boxster if available. My experience was all street driving.

i have the brembo ceramics for the rear but haven't found the time to put them in. they didn't make them for the front so i bought hawk red ceramics for the front and swapped them about 3 months ago. in purely street driving i can't notice a difference from the stock pads in terms of braking performance. but SO MUCH LESS DUST! Super happy with them!

Does Hawk make a Ceramic Pad for the rear?

I had very good success with the EBC Red on the front and Brembo ceramic on the rear. Same street performance with much less dust
