Does anyone know if Porsche is participating with Apple concerning the CarKey app?
The new ios release (March) is supposed to have the app in and ready.

Can anyone in the know shed light on this? Thanks!

I'm certainly not in the know, but given the slow adoption of CarPlay across the industry, and presumably this would require additional hardware to be present, I wouldn't expect it to show up in the wild anytime soon.

The update is I'm still not in the know, so I have no more information than the rest of the general public...

I think it’s highly unlikely to come to the 718 especially as a retrofit option.

The specification has only recently been published by the connectivity consortium.

My best guess is that manufacturers now have it on their product roadmap and are probably internally testing it.

Porsche are not known to be the first adopters of new connectivity/infotainment tech.
