I suspect they're doing dyno development.

Did a bit of digging on APR plus warranty.
Unfortunately they have a clause regarding track use and specifically notes DE track days.

I was hopefull that APR plus would be a solution regarding warranty coverage.

If you look at all the vehicles that APR upgrades with tunes, parts, etc., I would be very surprised if they don’t offer performance hardware and/or a tune for the 2.0L base Cayman & Boxster.

Actually, I would assume APR is more familiar with the turbo used with 2.0L engine than the VTG turbo used with the 2.5L engine.

I guess everything is speculation until APR finally makes an official announcement.

I would do an APR+ tune in a heartbeat. I know they get 360hp on stage1 for the S3/Golf R. I’m sure the 718 would be similar.

Nothing yet, car is still at APR. car is scheduled to be on the dyno next week and APR is having their Open House this weekend. ?they get to it next week.

Saw your car on the lift at the open house today. Looking good! Did you have the third radiator on the car before or did they install an intercooler?

Got my M240i on the dyno today- pulled 365HP, 399Q with Dinan stage 1 tune, CAI, midpipe and shorter final drive (10% Q inc). Waiting on stage 2 tune to drop for that car.

Apparently the GTS and S tunes are done and they are working on the base car tune. They will drop them all at once. Let us know how the BS does!

Thanks for the pic of my car! I had the 3rd radiator installed right after I bought the car. nice dyno numbers on your M240, has to be a blast to drive.

regarding an intercooler, I think heatsoak is an issue with the 718’s and I am hoping APR/aftermarket can come up with a fix.

You are welcome- she is a beauty! And it was definitely a cool event.

The Bimmer has been a fun car and the torque comes in handy in the Atlanta traffic! An RS3 put down 631HP & 519Q and sounded insane. Just goes to show you anything is possible if you have the money to throw at it!

That third radiator should help with heat soak. I think I read the Suncoast team put one on their car and they haven't had any issues since.
