Hi guys. Noticed a humming tone coming from my cayman s after shut off and now battery is dead. What is the tone? Lights were etc so confused.

Any help appreciated.

Is the compartment ventilator fan shutting off?

Don't know but she hums when I shut off??

There is an electric pump that circulates oil between the engine and the turbo after shutoff. It is supposed to help prevent coking of the turbo.

Bottom line, if your car is still under warranty, take it to a Porsche dealer. Electrical problems can be difficult to diagnose. I am sure it's fixable, but there are a large number of problems that could cause a battery to go dead.Good luck and again, it's fixable.

How long between driving it? Does it sit for a month?
