The Fabspeed Valvetronic X-Pipe Exhaust System for the 718 4.0L cars wakes up the sleepy Porsche PSE exhaust and gives them a truly exotic sports car sound all while retaining the functionality of PSE (Porsche Sport Exhaust). Our design process started with 3D scanning the entire exhaust system using our CREAFORM 700 Handscan so that we could make a complete Solidworks 3D model of the exhaust. We then designed the exhaust and fixtures using that model so that the exhaust fit perfectly to OEM standards. After multiple revisions for sound and dyno testing we settled on using our CAD flow engineered investment cast X-Pipe and 2.5" 63.5 mm tubing for the most power and exotic sports car sound. The CAD flow modeled X-pipe is an exclusive Fabspeed part that gives a smooth high pitched exotic sound and flows much better than a X-Pipe handmade from U bends cut and welded together. The exhaust valves we use are made by Helical Limited in the United Kingdom. These ISO 9001 certified valves are the same ones Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche use on their GT cars. The flanges are thick 304 stainless steel that we CAD designed to perfectly match the OEM flanges and reuse the factory metal gaskets.
Modular 200CEL CAT Headers (25+WHP)
Many have complained about the lack of sound with the new 718 4.0 Liter cars, these high flowing headers completely solve that issue. Equipped with our 200 cell cats, you will get a louder exhaust note with a much more raw sound. Higher frequency tones are more defined, and deceleration burbles are more robust and transparent. With the cat bypass pipes installed, you’re in store for a sound much more akin to a 911 CUP car than a Porsche street car. The volume isn’t overbearing, but the sound is very aggressive and race bred. It totally changes the character of the car. With the stock muffler in place, there is no drone what-so-ever, even with our Over Axle GPF Delete Pipes also installed.

Ditch the factory gas particulate filters to increase power, save weight and add a throatier more aggressive tone. Our design process started with 3D scanning the entire exhaust system using our CREAFORM 700 Handscan so that we could make a complete Solidworks 3D model of the exhaust. We then designed the exhaust and fixtures using that model so that the exhaust fit perfectly to OEM standards. After multiple revisions for sound and dyno testing we settled on using a one piece mandrel bent over axle pipe that goes straight into the free flowing part of the OEM PSE exhaust and a secondary pipe TIG welded to the main section to make a Y configuration to utilize the quiet side of the PSE exhaust when the valves are closed.
