IMO--
Tyres and wheels both black=large black spots and overall 'heavier' appearance. The 'as is' adds contrast--body, tyre, wheel.

If you want more, try the coloured centre caps, and add the clear corner markers in place of the orange.

Look good as is.......I am not a fan of black wheels but that is a personal choice. Black wheels, draw your eye away from the beauty of the Porsche and quite frankly always make the wheels look smaller and unkempt. Though, I am in good company since it appears Andreas Preuninger, Mr GT, is not a fan of black wheels either.

Should I leave wheels as is or paint them black?
...me again...is it just my eyes or are the outer portions of the wheels chromed?? When I looked initially thought they were stock. If that is chrome, then, as much as I do not care for black wheels for all the reasons provided by others on this post, I'll need to revise my opinion! I'm not much for the high shine chrome "bling" factor either!?

Keep as is!! Black wheels make your eyes focus on the wheels. Why would you want to do that when you own one of the best looking sports cars on the planet?

Personally, I'm not a fan of black wheels. I'd leave them as is.

By the way, my favorite Porsche wheels are the old 911 steelies with hub caps.

As most on this board know, I am a black-wheel homer, connoisseur, historian, and fanatic. If "Black Wheel" were a brand, I'd probably have an endorsement from it.

That said ...

You have an issue with those wheels, OP; They appear to be a two-piece design. The spokes are plainly cast and powder coated, while the rim is polished and is likely either spun or forged. Powder coating those will likely require some extra prep work on the rim portion to get the pigment to adhere and appear even throughout -- and you may have fitment-reassembly issues if those two pieces come apart via fasteners -- which, by the way, you cannot powder coat.

Wheels of that type reached popularity about a decade ago. Typically, the center was colored/powder coated and the rim is polished and untreated, as those are. Rims of that type are also iconic to Porsche -- namely the original 911 Turbo:

The above is what I would recommend: black center, with the rim uncolored. The problem with silver cast/silver polished is that it is nearly impossible to color-match -- it certainly isn't matched on your car. That's why black makes sense.

Some black wheels look good, depends on the color combo.

And not only 911 Turbos run those wheels....

I love black wheels, always have, even before they became popular. Looks sporty and aggressive and frankly I don’t have a lot of time to clean my cars and black wheels look satin or gunmetal when dirty, which looks much better than a standard dirty wheel, JMO.

If you don’t have PASM and you want to “loose” that gap, then get them black, else it looks nice like that.

I swapped out my 19” for 20” AG Ruger Mesh (no PASM) and love the look as it “looks” lower, or should I say you really can’t notice the wheel gap.
