So here's a comparison review and it's posted by BMWBlog so... the results may surprise you ;)
They compare the M2, the 718 Cayman S, and the Jaguar F-Type. Names we're all familiar with.
The F-Type was well noted as although the slowest and not as sharp handling, it definitely sounds the best, performs the wildest, and is a riot to drive.
I won't take away any of the fun from reading it though, so just give it a look >:D

They compared the Porsche to Tom Brady. I guess the tires were underinflated. ;)
Gotta admit, the Jaguar F-Type is a sight to look at even though it lost to the 718 Boxster. It's just fast and precise when going into turns hard.
I was so close to getting a 718 cayman base 6 speed manual. I had it all built out, but in the end the Porsche attitude did me in. I had asked several for a quote and expectation of at least a 3% MSRP reduction, and not one wanted to bat. When in fact I see on here people are getting 5% or more. Well a M2 came available and I got a token deduction on it, and it is $10000 cheaper than the 718, more room in it, lots of power, handling etc. At end of day if you treat your customer right they will buy your product....don't then they won't.
@Steve HeightonShame that the buying experience steered you away from a great vehicle. Enjoy your M2.
