I have the Bose upgrade on my MY2018 718C. There are a few ways to tune to different preset stations, but the two that I use most are either tapping on the icon on the screen, or using the fast forward and reverse buttons just above the volume knob. FF moves to the preset to the right of the one I am currently listening to, and rev moves to the one to the left. Quite logical.

Lately, when I press the FF or rev buttons the system frequently jumps to a random preset in the last group, which is the strongest stations. Since I never use that group of presets, I have no idea why it jumps there. I would say that this is happening about 30% of the time.

I tried rebooting my radio but that didn't help.

Has anybody else experienced this? If so, is there a fix?

A silly question, but since you don’t use that preset group it’s been jumping to, have you tried deleting that group (if I understood your situation correctly)?

Alternatively, you could front load that group it’s jumping to with your favorites, so if it happens again at least there’s a 30% chance it’ll land on something you like. ?. That was probably no help at all... sorry.

The strongest station group is mandated by the software and takes the last 5 presets. I wanted to delete that group and assign the presets as I wish, but Porsche/Bose determined otherwise.

does anyone know how to delete the FM bose presets? i want them gone so i can scroll to xm presets only. i now have to scroll thru 5 fm stations to complete the loop.
