I have a 2019 Boxster S which I love, wondering if anyone has replaced the front pads with ones that reduce brake dust.
I had the same issue on my 2018 Corvette GS with stock Brembo brakes, changed them to aftermarket (PowerStop) and almost no brake dust. Anyone use PowerStop pads?
Thanks!

dust is pretty bad on these, but like you've experienced... Noting like the Corvette! Those are horrible!

In general, ceramics produce the least amount of dust (other than PCCBs, of course). They won't be as sporty as the OEM pads, but they'll be fine for the street. I don't personally know anyone that's put ceramics on their 718, but I wouldn't hesitate if the dust concerns you.

Get any brake squeal/chatter form that combination?
No squeal or chatter at all. And they bite exactly the same as the stock pads. I drive 100% street, though. No track. I was pleasantly surprised because on my X5 the ceramic pads don't have quite the same initial bite as the stock pads.

BTW: If you do go to track days, put a set of Pagid RS29s on it for the track. You can drive home on them and change when you get back. I used Akebono and Hawk ceramics for street. The Akebono were the most tame with a little more pedal pressure required to stop the car. Hawk ceramic was a little more racy. Stopped better but a hint of dust an occasional noise...nothing terrible. I did some very sporty driving on those hawks...no track use on them, but they did The Dragon and a whole lot of other very snaky roads in the SE as well as a trip to Montana where we passed motorcycles on Bear Tooth Pass.

If you do go to track days, put a set of Pagid RS29s on it for the track.and several different different track pads including Pagid RS 19 and PFCs. PFC was very powerful but squealed like a pig at every stop on the way home. The RS 19 is an endurance pad. They don't really work until pretty hot...They hate cold mornings!

When I got the 718 GTS, I bought RS 29s for it. They're perfect...Drivable and really easy on rotors.

Because I change pads back and forth at least once per year and change them before they're half worn, I just tie the brake sensors behind the calipers with tie-wraps. Sensors? I don't need no steenkeeng sensors. Changing pads is a breeze with Porsche caliper design...if you remove those pesky wear sensors.

I'm not sure which ceramics fit the 718 GTS. All will really stop noise and dust. All are terrible for track days...just don't.
