Can anyone confirm this for me.

Front suspension carried over from the 997.2 ?

Rear suspension carried over from the 981?

Does this translate to the brakes and calipers as well?

Thank you in advance.

718 Base brakes & calipers = 981 S brakes & calipers
718 S brakes & calipers = 991.2 911 Carrera brakes & calipers

I can't speak for suspension; I'll let someone else speak to that.

According to suncoast website.

FRONT:

Fitment:
- Carrera, Carrera 4, & Carrera T models (991.2, base model), 2017 or newer
- Boxster S & GTS models (718), 2017 or newer
- Cayman S & GTS models (718), 2017 or newer

REAR:

Fitment:

Boxster - 2005-2016
Boxster S & GTS - 2013-2016
718 Boxster & Boxster S - 2017 or newer
Cayman - 2006 or newer
Cayman S & GTS - 2014 or newer
718 Cayman & Cayman S - 2017 or newer

I am kinda working on trying to put together a DIY brake upgrade. Verifying some things before I go ordering random parts.

The rear brakes are the same as the 981 - not 991.1 or 991.2 rear brakes - rotors are only 298mm x20mm - front are the same as 991.2 Base (w/4 Piston Calipers)
I'm a big fan of the Girodisc F&R rotor upgrades - you can use the same size pads as OEM - if you want to upgrade brakes
Front Kit: A1-032 350mm
Rear Kit: A2-035 325mm

The Girodisc seems like great value but what about the Brembo GT kit 6 piston 380x32 front and 4 piston 345x28 rear?

Though they are a little expensive so I'd be interested what else you can DIY in terms of Porsche 6 piston front calipers and rotors. You'd think there would be various 911 options that would fit.

I know with the rear brake there is an issue with the ebrake.

i've been kicking around the idea of girodisc rotors next year. i just put on their s/s pads front and rear and i am anxious to see how they perform. while i wear them out pretty fast the stock pads and rotors perform extremely well, even with heavy track use. due to torque vectoring rear stock pads last me about 2 weekends at the track, fronts last me 3-5 weekends.

Hey Guys, i am interested in the Brembo GT 6 Pots for my 718 Cayman S. Just want to know that, do you think i can replace the rear brake kit from the original front brake kit? Also does the Brembo GT6 Pots plug and play? Thanks!

Just put the 991.2S 6 spots & discs on - straight bolt on 350mm front:

99135142315 Caliper Left x 1
99135142415 Caliper Right x 1
99906705309 Caliper Mounting Bolt x 4
99135194702 Brake Pad Set x 1
9P1615301E Brake Rotor Left x 1
9P1615302E Brake Rotor Right x 1
99135558103 Brake Pipe Left x 1
99135558203 Brake Pipe Right x 1
99160918100 Front Brake Pad Wear Sensor x 2

I did this as well as put the 981 Spyder 330mm rear 4 spots & 991.2S 26.9mm master cylinder.

Works a treat.
