My bodyshop had to remove and re-install my front bumper cover as part of a repair. When I got it back, there was a significant gap between the bottom of the headlights and the bumper cover (picture attached). You can see the rubber spacer that I'm assuming was meant to server as a cushion between the light and bumper.
Can someone look at their car and let me know if there is such a gap from the factory?
That doesn't look right. I just looked. My gap is even all around and I don't see any rubber spacers. I have the LEDs but that shouldn't make a difference.
Oh...meant to ask. Did you use the dealership body shop or an independent? Either way, very sloppy on their part but I find it hard to believe the dealerships body shop would have returned it to you that way...regardless, unacceptable!
Was an independent Porsche certified body shop. They adjusted the bumper cover and it is much better now. There is still a slight gap, not really visible, but enough to fit a credit card through. I checked another 718 and it was the same, so I'm assuming it's normal.
There are still a couple of little things to fix, but they are very responsive in addressing what I find.
