@Luca_CH

This looks to be somewhat of a dead post, but I'm having this part installed in my 2019 Boxster next month.

Also, Cargraphic's upgraded manifold/headers (CARP82FKR) will be installed in my Boxster at the same time.

Since both assemblies will be installed together, I will only be able to give you feedback regarding the total package.

After researching various options, I feel that the Cargraphic sport catalytic converter & downpipe assembly has design benefits that justify the extra cost compared to other competitors.

The shop that will be performing the installation has only good experiences with Cargraphic parts over the years. They claim the Cargraphic level of quality is outstanding.

I plan to post pictures of the install next month and will include my feedback regarding this upgrade.

Looking forward to hearing and seeing more. Please get some good photos of the headers as I couldn't see them.

The Germans do make great exhausts and Ehresmann use Car Graphics.

I installed German Zinram downpipes and 100 cell cats on my Audi a while a go and they were a very nice piece of kit. Bit smelly with the 100 cell so 200 cell is probably the way to go.

I expect you will need a tune to get the most out of it but it would be interesting to see the improvement with the stock tune. Will you be doing a before and after dyno?

@don

Thank you for pointing out that Ehresmann uses Cargraphic parts.

I've only heard good things about Ehresmann on this forum, so that makes me feel even better for choosing Cargraphic. If I lived in Europe in lieu of North America, I would definitely take my 718 to Ehresmann asap.

I will be in contact with the installation shop next week and will inquire about a before & after dyno test and any associated cost. The shop doing the install builds racing Caymans, so I think they should be able to offer me a dyno.

I agree with you that I will need a tune to get the full potential from this Cargraphic exhaust system upgrade.

However, I plan to wait another 12-18 months before I perform an ECU tune. I'm driving about 15,000 miles per year with the 718, so waiting 12-18 months should put me pretty close to the end of the warranty period.

Also, I need to spend more time investigating the different tuning companies/options and determine which route to take.

More tuning options for the 718 could arise over the next 12-18 months as well.

I would like to find the closest thing I can to Ehresmann here in the USA. Right now, COBB is probably the front runner for my business. Especially, if they release a "front door flash" system.

Anyways, I'll create a photo album and post an update after the Cargraphic install next month.

Here is the link to the pictures of the Cargraphic parts that were installed on my vehicle a few days ago:

@don I was unable to get before & after dyno runs due to the timing of my trip to the exhaust shop.

Almost the entire staff was traveling to Porsche USA racing events, and we didn't have access to the Dyno during my time there. We will do some Dyno runs when I go back to get the ECU tune.

This exhaust upgrade is completely awesome on my 2019 base Boxster (already equipped with PSE), and I would highly recommend it for anyone with a base Boxster. (I can't speak for the S and GTS model owners because I am not familiar with those models at this time.)

The sound is deeper and more aggressive especially when you accelerate (even in "normal mode"). In my opinion this upgrade solves any issues one might have with the exhaust sound of the small (yet efficient) 4 cylinder engine.

There is no way I would think that my car is a 2.0L, 4 cylinder engine by the way it sounds now. I would think it was a 6 cylinder or even an 8 cylinder if I didn't know better.

The vehicle pulls harder, and I can noticeably feel the extra torque.

If anyone is on the fence about doing this upgrade to your car, just do it. Find a good installer and get it done asap.

I loved my Boxster before, but now i'm head over heels for it !

What a coinsedence , i installed the catless version on my GTS 2 days ago , i had to do some cutting in the heatshield to make it fit, but i like the sound, deaper and a little more metallic.
I also did a stage 2 flasch so 450 hp and 550 nm does feel great. shaved of app 2 sec 100-200 km/h

Did you go with Ehresmann stage 2 package?

This is great! What I was looking for.
I'm located in PR, you know if Ehresmann send his program/ECU tune via email?
I have COBB Stage 1 soon, but will like to know if a stage 2 is available?

Thanks

Any video of the exhaust?
We took a short video of my car at the shop immediately after the install.

Let me see if the guys at the shop can send me the video.

Also, I can attempt to do some recording when I get my car out this weekend.

I just have a basic tablet and cell phone for video recording, so it might not be the best, but I should have something for you next week.

Thanks for the detailed pictures...

Is me or the headers/manifold pictures shows that the OEM exhaust ports are bigger than the ones in the Cargraphic?

Nice upgrade my friend!

Any update?
Is there an any easy way to post a video on this forum without having to sign up for a youtube account or something similar?

I would like to post a video of the exhaust sound(s), but I prefer to not get involved with an account/service that i'm only going to use once or twice.

Pictures are really easy to post, but I think for videos I have to involve a 3rd party service.....

I think a third party such as Vimeo or YT is required. Maybe the shop where you had the install done has YT channel and they can host it. Then you'll just have to insert the link into a post.
