The yellow car looked faster to me!

If you review the Car and Driver stats, I think the T is slightly faster in most tests. Fractions of a second ( second decimal place) in things like 0-60,100,130.

I like the T but I wouldn't try to justify the up charge on speed. There are factors that separate these two cars but I don't think straight line performance is one of them.

I saw that and it is hardly surprising that there is so little in it at the line

the Carrera T was in my thoughts when I bought my CGTS but as I don't need the back seats I didn't see the extra £20k in value to me at all and I have had my share of 911's in the past

I had been looking at 991.2s for the last 6 months as that is really what I wanted. In the end I just could not justify the extra £25k over what I paid for the Cayman. The extra 2 seats would have been handy with two young kids but ultimately the saving was hard to ignore

Very happy with the cayman but will not hide the fact that I aspire to own a 911. I think the 911.2 is the high watermark as not all that happy with the interior of the 992

I think the 991.1 is the high water mark for 911's as they went turbo at gen 2

gen 1 991 GTS would be epic and that is what I really wanted but the same problem as the Carrera T - ie £20k more to get in a nice one and to be honest I wasn't sure that I would have enjoyed it any more than my current car

I actually like the turbo on the 991.2 and the added torque it gives

Agree that the interior of the 992 looks a mess. The cup holder and the silly gear selector thingy. It looks like a Remington shaver.

I will keep the Cayman for a long time and by the time I sell the 991.2 will be too old for me

So happy with the Cayman though. Every journey is an event
