Hi Everyone,

As mentioned elsewhere I just purchased a 718 Boxster GTS in Chalk. I absolutely love the car but am thinking of potentially adding a hood stripe in black or perhaps black and red to match the brake calipers.

Does anyone have a chalk vehicle with decals they added?

Not exactly what you asked for but I did add a crayon stripe to my previous GT Silver 718. Apologies for the sideways picture!

Tastefully done, I think Chalk is an ideal color for stripes and pops of color. Kind of like keeping your furniture in muted tones and adding pops of color via pillows and accents. Find a local designer, they may be able to come up with something awesome.

My only comment on this. If you keep the car for a number of years, the paint under the stripe vs the rest of the pain is going to wear unevenly, especially if the car is more than just a garage queen, and gets to spend a decent amount of time outside and especially in the sun. If you go to ever remove the stripe, uuuhhh, I dunno, you may end up having to repaint half the car. I am not saying that from experience with Porsches specifically, so maybe someone can chime in on that, but from experience with other. So fyi.

Admittedly my stripes were on the car for only 11 months, but it lived outside 24/7. The OPC I traded it in at removed the stripes before it was re-sold as they weren’t ‘original equipment’. Paintwork was 100%. Not the slightest hint it had stripes.

Thanks guys for the comments! I always garage my car and its usually overcast so hopefully I won't run into a paint fade issue. I'll post if I end up adding some decals.
