Sorry if this sounds trivial but is it possible to change my user name without losing my number of posts score ?
Only asking because i think one or two people, when replying to my posts have blanked out the F.
I hope my user name is not offensive - apologies if it is. It was meant as a joke, sort of hinting at Sparticus.

.... No offense taken on my end. The hint was rather obvious to me. Perhaps if anyone was "harmed" in the process, they should consider hanging out more on some of the other sites, as they're so much less offensive...LOL. Regarding your user name, if that's the name you like, so be it! Too much needless change these days IMO, but if you truly feel the need, one of the super moderators should be able to assist you....

He! If I wanted a play on the name Sparticus I might have chosen Smarticus (in a fit of hubris). Sometimes choices we make in a fit of anything are choices we regret later. So I went with the name my parents gave me.

Sorry, I can't help. You'll have to rely on the skill and patience of the site admins.

I do not regret buying the Cayman.

@718Admin
@Farticus, there are several very good reasons that one isn't normally permitted to change a screen name once chosen. That said, it really depends on the forum rules and how 'permissive' the Admins are.

Over on Bimmerpost, I've noticed one member who has had his screen name changed while retaining his 'stats'. The guy is quite offensive at times, but he's a very frequent contributor. His old screen name was related to military service, so I have a feeling an exception was made based on that. It certainly wasn't related to good behavior ... :eek:

I've tagged the general Admin on this post, and I'm happy to recommend that they allow it in your case -- it might not be a bad idea to PM @718Admin about it, too. However, please PM me if/when it's done so I can either close or delete this thread. No sense advertising that it can be done, you know?
