Has anyone been able to adjust the Bluetooth (music) streaming volume? There’s an option in the PCM [home —> OPT —> set sound —> volume], but it’s always greyed out for me, as in the picture below.

I’ve tried this with the car running, on and off and there doesn’t seem to be a way to ‘un-grey’ those options.

You have to start with the appropriate SOURCE to get at those controls, not the overall ones in HOME.

GregW - I know you've figured heavily into our discussions about volume control. I believe in my thread explicitly addressing this problem, you and one or two others posted that you could control volume - and I noticed that none of you were US car owners. Might not Cayman718's issues fall into my problem, which seems to be shared by US owners?

Cayman718 - have you seen the other volume related discussions? Are you able to adjust the volume of the navigation (if you have it) voice guidance?

I don’t have Navigation as an option, so I can’t test that. I haven’t been able to change AUX or Bluetooth (music) volume. It doesn’t matter if I access that menu from the home screen, media screen and when Bluetooth music is streaming. I’ve tried everything and it just seems like the system is broken or buggy.

Agreed. I have tried multiple pathways and tried the recommendations from non-US car owners. Nothing works. I don't see how this could possibly be intended or acceptable. I just got my owners' survey from Porsche, and I let them know (along with the crappy piece of felt glue to the back of the driver's seatbelt receptacle). They need to know. Next time I'm at the dealer, I'm going to ask how this can be reported. I asked someone in another thread what phone number they used to contact Porsche, and they never responded. I guess I can just go on the web page, find a number, and start calling.

The strange thing is - I also have a 2017 Macan GTS (which features the same PCM system as my 2018 Cayman).

On my Macan, I have no problems whatsoever in changing the Bluetooth (music) volume. Same menu, same process, but the option is not ‘greyed-out’.

Both are Canadian spec cars, if that matters...

Surely it's got to be an error? My announcement volume also responds to the main controls.

(Of course you could always ask to have the car updated with Australian software--but then you'd have to drive on the other side of the road. :laugh

My guess is that the first step is to ensure it is an error. This means starting with somebody who knows. Start high--Porsche USA software section (Germany). Try email but phone calls usually work better.

Then--can it be practically and legally changed? How?
