So I had the weirdest experience the other day with my car. Drove for about 30mins normally nothing crazy then stopped to refuel and as i was leaving the gas station I had multiple lights show up on my dash. Engine control fault, ABS/PSM failure and also something with a steering lock so I drove it straight home. Next day all lights had turned off but I still scheduled a checkup at my local Porsche service center. They told me that my front passenger wheel had lifted off the ground and triggered all of those lights and there was nothing wrong with my car.
My car is lowered on H&R springs. Thought I’d share this with you guys just Incase something similar happened to anyone

I had a similar event occur yesterday. I was backing out of a parking space and stalled the engine (manual transmission but I only just learned to drive one 56 years ago). Immediately depressed both brake and clutch and engine instantly restarted as expected. However, right hand variable display stated "PSM failure - Consult a workshop - Drive with caution" and a little orange car appeared with two skid marks under it on right of tachometer. Turned off the car and then restarted it after a few seconds with same alarms indicated. I then drove about 10 miles home with nothing noticeable except for the alarm indications. After the car was parked for a few hours I restarted it and everything was and still is normal. I am assuming one of the computers had a small brain fart when I stalled it and nothing really is amiss but I do not fully understand why the alarms did not clear when I restarted it immediately after the event. Maybe, like all electronics, I should have waited a few minutes before restarting it as it appears to me the car does not immediately electronically settle down into a sleep after turning it off. I started it during my morning travels at least six times today and no evidence of any problem. I also somehow managed to do this without stalling it again.

There's nothing like an old bare-bonz Dodge Dart with nothing under the hood but an engine, carburetor and fuel line lol Well ................ I never really owned one of those. But man, with all the systems car now have, there's so much that can fail or at least cause a false alarm compared to what cars were only a few decades ago. I guess just feeding a horse was even simpler ?

Keep us posted on things. I have to go out and feed my horse now.

it seems the computers are very sensitive in our cars. i have done 2 events at daytona and when going over 150 on the banking (31 degrees) i consistently get 3 errors - lance change assist stops, automatic headlight turning (i forget the actual name) stops and PSM turns off. i spoke with the guys from a shop there that builds cayman race cars called BGB and they said they have had the same problem for a few years with caymans, even before the 718. they said they have tested with the factory teams and had the same results. the solution is to park the car, windows up, lock the door and wait 30 mins. the computer resets itself. they said the factory attributed it to the car thinking it was going to crash which caused the computer to go crazy.
