Has anyone been able to clear the rear drain holes for the convertible roof? I want to be able to inspect them annually to make sure that there are no leaks into the cabin and potentially affect the electrical gubbins under the left hand seat. I can find lots of info on-line on 986 and 987 models, but nothing on the 718. Is it the same as the 981 model?

Photos appreciated if anyone has done this.

I removed my rocker panels to get them repainted; the lower corners near the rear wheels was pretty chewed up (2017 BS with 42k miles). When I had them off, I started cleaning and exploring. I believe the two one-way vents highlighted with red boxes in the attached photo are the ones you're looking for. The lower one-way vent on both sides of the car were completely full with seeds, pine needles, leaves, etc. Used a pick tool and lots of patience to get them cleaned out. The upper one way vent plug was nice and clean.

I can do a write up with photos on how to remove the rocker panels if anyone is interested. Photos I took of the process can be found at: https://www.flickr.com/photos/sidmods It's not too hard; spent 1 hour on the drivers side going slow to figure it out, then only 20 minutes on the passenger side as I figured out the right process.

I did this today, to get to the drain holes, start with the top down then only raise it enough to get the flaps fully open. The drains are at the very front right behind the passenger compartment. There is a rubber hose that you need to push out of the way to see the holes. Both of mine were completely plugged. I used a cut section of water hose attached to my vacuum to reach down and vacuum them out. I also suggest removing the wheel well and cleaning out the bottom drain. M
