It's true the ECU will have to be sent in after initial release. COBB made the decision to make the Access Port available now and finalize the "front door" flashing post-release. This will allow early adopters to get into Access Ports right away with off the shelf (OTS) maps or pro-tuning. For those that don't want to send your ECU in COBB will have "front door" flashing available in the near future, but a date has been determined yet. It is a high priority so it will not go on the back burner.
That said, once sent in and then reinstalled you will be able to flash as normal via the Access Port connected to the OBDII port. We're shipping the ECUs back to customers with
FREE overnight shipping to minimize your downtime. Turn around on the ECU at COBB is one day so you're looking at 3 days of downtime.
Hopefully we'll roll these out early in June.
