Looking at getting my S tuned, looking for feedback Pros and Cons of both tunes, thanks
I have had a good experience with the COBB tune. I had not driven my car much when I did it (maybe 300 miles) so I cant say how much of a difference it made and I didnt go with vivid.

Ecu was peace of cake to remove. I mailed it overnight with a overnight return label inside the box. Mailed on wednesday at lunch and got it back Friday morning.

Their standard is like 2 day shipping. I just didnt have the patience to wait.

I am anxiously awaiting more parts and more tunes.

I based my purchase off of what I read about other cars and their experiences with COBB. (Audi, VW etc...)

Took maybe 10 minutes to load a tune.

I hope that helps.

We are a COBB pro-tuner so obviously I'd suggest a COBB AccessPort. The most important part of a tune is the quality of calibration and its suitability for your intended purpose. The advantage beyond COBB's expertise in developing their tuning platform for Porsche is their network of pro-tuners. The COBB off the shelf tunes are excellent but if you have special needs such as race fuel or modifications that aren't yet supported a pro-tuner can get you dialed in.

I have not used either...…..I would suggest you do some detailed research on Cobb and Vivid including looking at consumer comments about the respective companies. If I were to go with a tune, I know which one that I would use...…...

Does the installation of one of these void your Porsche warranty? Can they be removed when you take the car to the Porsche dealer for service?

Most systems would void the warranty, even if you have a new tuned ecu, when you put the other back in Porsche can see that the ecu thats in have not been used for a long time.
I was really close to get me a new ecu but i backed out waiting for my warranty to expire.
The i got issues with my coolant sensor, Porsche told me they will fix it under warranty, if there is no tune on the car.
To change the sensor the engine has to come out......

MTM say that they will take over the engine warranty but how much truth there is in those words i dont know.
